The Story

Built by hobbyists who couldn't stop collecting.

What started as one guy's apartment overflowing with tortoises, monitors, and morph projects became one of South Florida's most respected captive-bred reptile shops. Three decades of breeding records, friends made over enclosures, and animals raised by hand, that's the moat.

We won't sell an animal we don't have working knowledge of. We won't ship to a setup we don't think is right. The store is where the right animal meets the right keeper, and that takes a conversation.

Morphs we helped pioneer.

In our years in the hobby we've been responsible for producing and importing several industry-firsts, animals you can trace back through breeding records to right here in Palmetto Bay.

  • Sulcata Tortoise Lines

We helped produce the first albino sulcatas in the trade, a rare, blonde-shelled twist on the African spurred tortoise. Standard sulcatas, hypos, and our pioneering albino line all start here.

  • Amazon Tree Boa Lines

High-color amazon tree boas, including the albino tangerine line we keep refining each season. Striped, vivid, and unmistakable.

  • Albino Central American Boas

Pastel-yellow with the signature saddles. One of the cleanest albino lines in the United States.

  • Ball Python Designer Lines

Suma, Puma, Latte, Graphite Ivory, Sentinel, names that have made it into other breeders' lines around the country, all started here.

Going away? Leave them with people who actually know reptiles.

When you travel, your animal needs more than a neighbor topping up the water bowl. We board snakes, lizards, tortoises, and inverts in our shop, where the heat, lighting, humidity, and feeders are already dialed in.

  • Professional husbandry: right temps, lighting, humidity, on day one
  • Daily monitoring by keepers who recognize stress signs early
  • Correct feeders, correct schedule, no guesswork
  • Backup vet relationships if anything comes up

Common Questions

Before your visit.

A handful of the things customers ask us most often. If yours isn't here, just call.

Are your animals captive-bred?
The vast majority, yes. Many are bred in-house. The handful of imports we carry come from established, ethical breeders we've worked with for years.
I'm a first-time keeper. Can you help me pick the right animal?
That's our favorite kind of customer. We'll walk you through husbandry requirements, lifespan, temperament, and what species fits your space and experience. We don't sell to anyone we don't think is set up to succeed.
Do you ship?
For select animals, yes, primarily through our verified MorphMarket store. Most retail sales happen in person at the Palmetto Bay shop, which lets us inspect the animal with you before it leaves.
Can my kids handle the animals?
Many of our shop animals, bearded dragons, ball pythons, leopard geckos, blue-tongued skinks, are happy to be handled with adult guidance. Just ask one of us before reaching into an enclosure.
Can I bring in an animal I'm rehoming?
We sometimes take in surrenders or rehome animals depending on space and species. Call ahead first, please don't show up unannounced with an animal.
What's your return / sales policy?
All sales are final. Store credit is offered on unopened drygoods with receipt. Animal health claims must be accompanied by a veterinary certificate. We're happy to walk through it in person.
